Courtyard & Cobblestones 2019
Aug 6 2019 | By: Eco Chic Blossoms
When one of downtown Wilmington’s most extravagant venues pairs up with biggest companies in the industry, wedding dreams come true. This year’s Courtyards and Cobblestones at the Annex in the Brooklyn Arts District featured floral arrangements by Wilmington’s own Eco Chic Blossoms.
As guests glided in, they were greeted by the soft sounds of the string quartet playing…. While sampling decadent hors d’oeuvres evoking the splendor of an upscale wedding venue in Maine. The spread, assembled by Pine Valley Market, included succulent oysters, avocado crisps, savory finger sandwiches, and other mouthwatering bites. Amidst the ambiance, rich furniture accented by ginger jars stuffed with monochromatic arrangements and an accent wall holding muted pastel envelopes and single stem buds peaking throughout.
Above a wooden staircase, delicate spray roses and lilacs greeted guests at the landing, with jars of roses, peonies, lilac, and hydrangea filling the grey linen-cloth tables through a rustic wooden entrance.
Stained-glass windows and a chandelier resplendent with delicate stems of pale yellow and peach illuminated the venue, and an 1800’s era fireplace warmed guests as the night waned.
Special thanks to Cheryl from Social Butterfly Events, who provided the spark, and for the drive and dedication of all our event coordinators, who made this year’s Courtyard & Cobblestones a truly enchanted evening.
